Best of Swiss Gastro 2017

For the 14th time has an expert jury nominated restaurants and bars 
for the Swiss Audience Award Best of Swiss Gastro.

The first phase of the Best of Swiss Gastro Award has been completed.
More than 200 different companies have applied for the Audience Award.
Now has the 32-member expert jury, which among other things,
from well-known personalities like André Jaeger and Meta Hiltebrand, nominated the best companies.

The top three in each category will receive additional
to the seal of approval, Best of Swiss Gastro 2018, a trophy.
The highest award of the Audience Award, the Master Best of Swiss Gastro 2018,
will be awarded to the overall winner at the end of November 2017.

The 144 nominated companies are distributed across 19 cantons of Switzerland.

58 companies spoil their guests in the Zurich region,
21 businesses in Central Switzerland,
18 establishmentsin northwestern Switzerland,
12 companies from Eastern Switzerland,
11 establishments in the Grisons region,
11 companies come from the Bern region, Oberland, Seeland and Biel,
7 companies from Ticino
and 6 companies from the region of Western Switzerland, Valais and Vaud.

The nominations are divided into these eight categories:
Classic (Traditional): 41 companies
International (local): 20 companies
Bar & Lounge (Nightlife): 13 establishments
Fine Dining (Gourmet): 12 establishments
Trend (innovation): 20 companies
Activity (leisure & sport): 16 companies
On the Move (Take Away & Self Service): 13 operations
Coffee (Café & Tea Rooms): 9 businesses

Best of Swiss Gastro is the biggest Swiss Audience Award.
And the only award of Swiss gastronomy. Since 2004,
the best catering establishments have been awarded annually.
